Life’s Most Important Question!
?
In your personal opinion, what do you understand that it takes for a person to go to heaven?
Using the Bible and a familiar word we can answer this question:
F in FAITH is for FORGIVENESS
Everyone has sinned and needs God’s forgiveness. His forgiveness is available in Jesus.
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
“In Him Jesus] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Eph. 1:7)
A in FAITH is for AVAILABLE
Forgiveness is available for all. - “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
Available but Not Automatic “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter
the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt. 7:21)
I in FAITH is for IMPOSSIBLE
According to the Bible, it is impossible to get to heaven on our own. “By grace you are saved through faith,
and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift” (Eph. 2:8)
Question: So how can a sinful person have eternal life and enter heaven?
T in FAITH is for TURN
Question: If you were going down the road and someone says, “You missed your turn: what would they
be asking you to do?
Answer: Change directions. Go a different way. Repent!
You must turn from Sinful living!
“Unless you repent, you will all perish as well.” (Luke 13:3b)
You must turn to Jesus alone!
He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.” ( Rom. 10:9-10)
H in FAITH is for HEAVEN
Heaven is a place where we will live forever.
“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you
may be also.” (John 14:3)
Eternal life begins now with Jesus.
Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance.” (John 10:10)
H can also stand for HOW?
How can a person have God's forgiveness, eternal life, and heaven?
Answer: First , through making a personal commitment! ForsakingAll ITrust Him.
Second, through a sincere prayer!
Question: Does this say what you would like to tell God? (“God, I admit that I am a sinner,
and I cannot save myself. Forgive me of my sins. I want to receive Jesus as my personal Savior and living Lord. Right
now I turn from my sins, and I turn to Jesus alone. Please give me the gift of eternal life.”)
